The graduation season is upon us, so today I am congratulating the members of the Class of 2022 who overcame the expected difficulties of high school and college and then surmounted the totally unexpected challenges of a worldwide pandemic.

Small town state of mind

Small towns are a place where values are important, they are practiced, and the people are authentic. One only has to look at the popularity of Hallmark movies, the Andy Griffith Show, Sweet Magnolias, Bedford Falls and the Gilmore Girls’ town of Stars Hollow with themes around small town living to see that people embrace small towns and all they symbolize.

‘Battle of the Banks’ rodeo donation

Representatives from three area FFA chapters joined CS Bank officials earlier this month to present a check to Grandma’s House Children’s Advocacy Center as part of the annual Roughstock Challenge “Battle of the Banks” rodeo fundraising efforts. The annual event is a fundraiser for the Alpena, Berryville, Eureka Springs and Green Forest FFA chapters. DETENTION CENTER INTAKE LOG

This listing includes individuals who have been booked into the Carroll County Detention Center. Charges may be reduced or dropped, and individuals are presumed innocent until being found guilty. As of Monday, May 16, a total of 112 inmates were being housed in the detention center.

SENIOR CENTER MENU

The Carroll County Senior Activity and Wellness Center is located at 202 W. Madison Ave. in Berryville. The center is open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday. Lunch is served at noon each weekday.
