Food bank donation

A fundraiser held May 7 by Equity Bank and the Berryville Lions Club resulted in a total donation of more than $500 to the local nonprofit food bank Loaves & Fishes in Berryville last week. BV Community Center marks 20th anniversary

The Berryville Community Center is turning 20 years old this week. To celebrate, community center staff have been busy planning a Safety and Wellness Expo to mark the occasion, promising to provide “a day of fun for everyone.” “We’re throwing the BCC its own birthday celebration by inviting a host of health and safety experts to visit and provide you and your friends and family with a day of fun, information, giveaways, and more,” BCC staff said in a news release about the event.

Connect 4 Signing Day

ES council authorizes mayor to amend solid-waste contract

Carroll County Solid Waste customers in Eureka Springs will likely soon see an increase on their bills. The Eureka Springs City Council voted to give Mayor Butch Berry the authority to amend the current contract with Carroll County Solid Waste to include a fuel surcharge that will go in affect when diesel prices increase enough to greatly surpass the budgeted cost.
