Tigers hoping to build on experience

After a 3-0 loss to Berryville in the final game of the 2021 football season, Green Forest coach Greg Tibbitt said his team needed to develop an offensive identity. Fast forward eight months, and Tibbitt is feeling better about the Tigers’ offense heading into the 2022 season.

Football camp starts July 27

The Berryville Bobcats 2022 Football camp for athletes entering kindergarten through the ninth grade will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday, July 27-28, at the high school football field.

Daughters of the American Revolution participated with Holiday Island Elks Lodge 1042 for the 245th Anniversary of the American flag on June 11. The celebration and ritual included Elks Lodge officers and members, Boy Scout Troop No. 67 and the Daughters of the American Revolution. The American Legion posted the American flags. Hospital auxiliary celebrates 40 years

Mercy Hospital Berryville Auxiliary celebrated its Ruby Jubilee, 40 years since its reorganization in 1982, at its annual meeting. Dr, Bill Flake was the keynote speaker who related the history of the auxiliary and his mother, Blanche, who was instrumental in the reorganization.

Community Foundation accepting grant applications

Local students honored at UAFS

Several Carroll County students have been named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2022 semester at the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith, the school has announced. Local students named to the Dean’s List are Marco Garcia Montes, Natalie Roy al and Samantha Witherby, all of Berryville; Hayden Nance of Eureka Springs; and Bianca Rosales and Katherine Tanner, both of Green Forest.
