Clear Springs School in Eureka Springs has been awarded a Youth Engagement Grant for $1,075.23 from the Ozark Society Foundation. Clear Springs students will design and help build a trail on their campus that will be available to school and community groups.

Jason F. Tennant, president and chief lending officer for CS Bank, has announced the hiring of Joe Don Sharp as senior vice president/loan officer for the bank’s Boone County market. Born and raised in Yellville, Sharp graduated from Yellville- Summit High School in 1996 and went on to attend College of the Ozarks. He lives in Berryville with his wife Ashley and their two children, Sadie and Sophia.

The holiday season will be a bit merrier for 140 kids thanks to the efforts of the Eureka Springs community and the dedication of a group of high school students. The longtime annual Angel Tree project, organized by Eureka Springs High School counselor Rachal Hyatt, has had one of its strongest responses this year.

The Carroll County Senior Activity and Wellness Center is located at 202 W. Madison Ave. in Berryville. The center is open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday. Lunch is served at noon each weekday. The suggested donation for ages 60 and up is $4. There is a $6 charge for those under 60 and all carryout meals. Breakfast is served Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Menus are subject to change.
