SENIOR CENTER menu

The Carroll County Senior Activity and Wellness Center is located at 202 W. Madison Ave. in Berryville. The center is open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday. Lunch is serv-d at noon each weekday. The suggested donation for ages 60 and up is $4. There is a $6 charge for those under 60 and all carryout meals. Menus are subject to change.

Local students honored at Northark

Several Carroll County students have been named to the full-time or part-time Dean’s List for the 2022 fall semester at North Arkansas College in Harrison. In order to qualify for the fulltime Dean’s List, a student must complete 12 or more semester hours with a grade point average of 3.7 or higher for the semester.

Warm Hearts

After frigid temperatures hit Carroll County just before Christmas, Tom Chew of the Berryville United Methodist Church began looking at how the homeless in the community were being impacted. “Homelessness has been a growing issue nationwide, and while we tend to hear about homelessness in larger cities, small towns and rural areas are not exempt from those challenges; Berryville and Carroll County are no exception,” said Chuck Landis, who is helping spearhead the effort to provide a warming shelter for area homeless people.
