2022 was a busy year for the City of Berryville. After nearly two years of uncertainty, occasional chaos and the many disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, our country has begun to return to a more normal way of life.

Prosecutor wants charges dropped in Alvard case, for now

Four Berryville High School wrestlers will compete in this weekend’s Class 4A state championships in Little Rock after qualifying at last weekend’s 4A North Regional in Springdale. “It was kind of a tough day for us, overall,” Berryville coach Ryan Whetham said.

Early in the third quarter of Berryville’s game against Huntsville in the 4A-1 district tournament at Bobcat Arena, things seemed to be going the Lady Bobcats’ way. Berryville scored seven consecutive points to turn a twopoint halftime deficit into a four-point lead.

The Eureka Springs Highlanders are going back to the regional tournament. The Highlanders clinched a regional bid with a 66-45 victory over Yellville-Summit in the second round of the 2A-1 district tournament Tuesday, Feb.
