The Carroll County Senior Activity and Wellness Center is located at 202 W. Madison Ave. in Berryville. The center is open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday. Lunch is served at noon each weekday. The suggested donation for ages 60 and up is $4. There is a $6 charge for those under 60 and all carryout meals. Menus are subject to change.

The Berryville School District officially got the goahead last week to move forward with construction of a new pre-kindergarten building on its west campus. At a special called meeting on Friday, March 3, the Berryville Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously approved the district’s development plan for the new building.

Walmart, Friends purchase Imagination Blocks for library

Through the generosity of the Berryville Walmart Store No. 76 and the Friends of the Berryville Library, a 200-piece set of Imagination Playground blocks have been purchased for the Berryville Library. These blocks will be used with many of the children’s programs.

Lee joins Library Advisory Board

Berryville Library Advisory Board President Joe Scott has announced the recent appointment of Jay Lee as the newest member of the Berryville Library Advisory Board. Lee serves as administrative assistant for the City of Berryville and is responsible for the city’s day-to-day operations.
