Danos, Edwards top Highlanders’ Class of 2023
Corbin Danos is following in the footsteps of his older sister as valedictorian of the senior class at Eureka Springs High School. But it was close.

Eureka Springs schools were well represented in the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission Youth Shooting Sports Competition held April 28 and 29 in Jacksonville. This is Eureka Springs’ third year to compete and the district fielded two senior high teams and two junior high teams.

This past weekend the Berryville Shooting Sports teams competed in the Arkansas Youth Shooting Sports West Regional Tournament in Jacksonville. Juniors competed on Friday followed by Seniors on Saturday.

Bobcats head south to face Star City
Berryville coach Grant Hutson says there are no moral victories for the Bobcats, so there was no satisfaction in a hardfought loss at Clarksville in the district tournament championship game on Thursday, May 4.

Tigers chasing another title in Class 3A
Two years removed from a state championship, the Green Forest Tigers have their sights set on another trophy. The Tigers will open play Thursday, May 11, in the Class 3A state tournament in Harrison.

Berryville freshman Kaylyn Smith finished fifth in the girls’ 400-meter dash at the Class 4A state track and field championships on Tuesday, May 2, in Clarksville. Smith took seventh place in the girls triple jump.
