Eureka Springs’ building inspector says code violations in some of the short-term and longterm rentals he has inspected in his short time with the city are some of the worst he has seen in his career.

Stabbing leads to suspect’s arrest

A Carroll County man was arrested after a stabbing recently at an apartment building outside Eureka Springs. According to a probable-cause affidavit written by investigator Shaun Helmlinger of the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, he was advised at 12:35 a.m.

Berryville Library hosts event featuring local authors

As part of a new series featuring local authors, the Friends of the Berryville Library hosted Murder with a Local Twist: Celebrating Local Authors Jane Elzey (The Cardboard Cottage Mystery series) and Amber Camp (the Horse Rescue Mystery series) on Monday, April 24, at the Carroll Electric Community Room in Berryville.

ES Community Center kicks off fundraising for next phase

The Eureka Springs Community Center held a kickoff party on Thursday, April 20, to open its fundraising campaign for a splash pad — Phase II in the community center’s campus development plan. As it turns out, the fundraising drive is already off to a fast start.
