Local students earn academic honors at NAC
Several Carroll County students have been named to the Dean’s Lists for full-time and part-time students for the spring 2023 semester at North Arkansas College in Harrison. To be named to the full-time Dean’s List, students were required to achieve a grade-point average of 3.7 to 4.0 while completing at least 12 credit hours.

The Carroll County Senior Activity and Wellness Center is located at 202 W. Madison Ave. in Berryville. The center is open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday. Lunch is served at noon each weekday.

Adult education graduates, citizenship recipients honored
On Saturday, May 6, 2023, the North Arkansas College Adult Education Program held its GED graduation ceremony in the Pioneer Pavilion at North Arkansas College in Harrison. This year’s ceremony honored graduates from the year 2022-2023 as well as recent citizenship recipients.

Work can now finally get started on a duel cafeteria building for elementary and middle school students in the Eureka Springs School District. At a special called meeting on Friday, May 19, the school board approved a bid of $4.4 million for a new cafeteria that will have one centralized kitchen and separate cafeteria spaces for students at the two schools to have meals.
