Four people were arrested by Carroll County sheriff’s deputies after a high-speed chase that stretched from Berryville to Blue Eye on Saturday, July 29, and left two patrol vehicles damaged. Ricky Wayne Myers, 43, of Berryville, was arrested along with Dillon James Carpenter, 31, of Berryville; Jeffrey Christopher Lewis, 25, of Eureka Springs and Skyeanne Elizabeth Taylor, 22, of Green Forest.

The Carroll County Quorum Court is expected to consider a proposed emergency ordinance at its next regular meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 15, that would establish rules and regulations for towers in the county.

Ruth Hager, chair of the Eureka Springs Parks and Recreation Commission, made the decision without a vote of the full commission to fire Justin Huss as parks director, Hager testified in a deposition taken July 10 in connection with a lawsuit filed by Huss.

An open house will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
