Brandt Wall Conklen of Berryville received a bachelor of arts degree in economics from the College of Letters and Science at the University of Wisconsin at Madison during spring graduation ceremonies on May 12-13, the school announced.

The annual Samaritan’s Feet Shoe Giveaway presented by the Eureka Springs Rotary Club will be held from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 13, in the Eureka Springs High School Cafeteria, located at 2 Lake Lucerne Road in Eureka Springs.

Officials in Eureka Springs will get to see a test run of a downtown entertainment district this fall.

The Holiday Island City Council has begun initial talks with Good Shepherd Humane Society about a possible partnership to help with animal control in the city.
