This week our Pet of the Week is Mishka, an adult grey tabby. She is a very sweet and loving kitty. Mishka also has a really cute chirp she gives out when she is getting petted by someone she loves. Mishka will make a great addition to any family. You can meet Mishka at the Good Shepherd Humane Society Adoption Center on Highway 62. The center is open daily from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Submitted photo

Senior Center Menu

The Carroll County Senior Activity and Wellness Center is located at 202 W. Madison Ave. in Berryville. The center is open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday. The suggested donation for ages 60 and up is $4. There is a $6 charge for those under 60. Menus are subject to change as needed.

This week’s Pet of the Week is Irene. Irene is a white bull-terrier mix who loves attention and playing. She loves attention and is very smart. Irene would be a great fit in an active family. You can meet Irene and any of Good Shepherd Humane Society’s adoptables at the Adoption Center on Highway 62. The adoption center is open daily from noon until 5 p.m.

Pioneer Park concert

An audience estimated at more than 75 people enjoy a free concert in Berryville’s Pioneer Park featuring the University of Arkansas Student Chamber Music Tour on Monday, May 16. Families brought blankets and lawn chairs and sat amongthe historical buildings in the park while listening to the sounds of the Loblolly Brass Quintet, Hawksbill Winds and the Castalia Quartet. This week’s Pet of the Week is Lefty. Lefty is a tuxedo domestic short-haired kitty. Lefty is a sweet boy who loves to stretch out on the couch and on any comfy blanket. He is a gentle goofball and gets along with other cats. Lefty has great potential to be a cuddler and may even join you to sleep.
