Smith inducted into Hall of Fame at OSU

The College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Okla., recently inducted Lieu Smith into its Hall of Fame. In addition Smith received the Melvin R. Lohmann Medal for outstanding contributions to his profession and to the university as well as serving his community, state and nation with distinction.

SENIOR CENTER MENUS

The Carroll County Senior Activity and Wellness Center is located at 202 W. Madison Ave. in Berryville. The center is open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday. Lunch is served at noon each weekday. The suggested donation for ages 60 and up is $4. There is a $6 charge for those under 60 and all carryout meals. Breakfast is served Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Menus are subject to change.

Ozarks Chorale returns Sunday

The Aug. 8 blog post on the Ozarks Chorale’s website says it all: “We’re back! The clouds are rolling back, and soon we will be singing together again.” That post announced the end of the two-plus year hiatus of the popular choir due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Cox joins CS board

Charlie Cross, chief executive officer of CS Bank, has announced the appointment of Booker Cox III to the bank’s Governing Board of Directors. Cox is broker/owner of Foggy River Realty in Branson and resides in Blue Eye with his wife, Dana.
