Neither the plaintiffs nor the defendants in an ongoing lawsuit against multiple current and former city officials in connection with the Eureka Springs City Advertising and Promotion Commission have discussed the case publicly. That changed on Thursday, Oct.

Social Security and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits for approximately 70 million Americans will increase 8.7 percent in 2023, the Social Security Administration announced last week. On average, Social Security benefits will increase by more than $140 per month starting in January.

The Carroll County Senior Activity and Wellness Center is located at 202 W. Madison Ave. in Berryville. The center is open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday. Lunch is served at noon each weekday. The suggested donation for ages 60 and up is $4. There is a $6 charge for those under 60 and all carryout meals. Breakfast is served Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Menus are subject to change.
