Ahead of its regular meeting on Monday, Oct. 10, the Eureka Springs school district delivered its annual “Report to the Public.” Superintendent Bryan Pruitt said the yearly report is an important way to let parents and guardians know exactly what their children are working on in school.

Arkansas Razorbacks basketball legend Sidney Moncrief will be the keynote speaker at the Greater Berryville Area Chamber of Commerce’s 2022 awards banquet, to be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, at the Berryville Community Center.

The Carroll County Senior Activity and Wellness Center is located at 202 W. Madison Ave. in Berryville. The center is open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday. Lunch is served at noon each weekday. The suggested donation for ages 60 and up is $4. There is a $6 charge for those under 60 and all carryout meals. Breakfast is served Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Menus are subject to change.

The Carroll County Community Foundation Board of Directors presented Giving Tree Grants to 10 local nonprofits on Thursday, Oct. 13. Giving Tree is Arkansas Community Foundation’s signature program that supports a broad range of causes across our county and state – everything from critical issues to art and education.

Palace Hotel & Bath House and the Eureka Springs Historical Museum are presenting a new exhibit featuring the “Eureka Springs LEGO Palace.” The LEGO Palace is the work of local artist Larry Jones and is based on the iconic Eureka Springs landmark, Palace Hotel & Bath House. Originally constructed in 1901, the Palace has operated as a hotel and spa for more than a century and is the last of the original Eureka Springs bath houses still in operation today.
