The Museum of Eureka Springs Art has a home. The recently formed group will soon be housed in the Highlander Room at the Eureka Springs Community Center after a recent partnership between the two organizations.

This week’s Pet of the Week is Miles. Miles is a loving, high-energy lab mix that is looking for someone to share his life with. Miles would be great as a solo pet and would be perfect for a young, active family. The Carroll County Senior Activity and Wellness Center is located at 202 W. Madison Ave. in Berryville. The center is open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday. Lunch is served at noon each weekday. The suggested donation for ages 60 and up is $4. There is a $6 charge for those under 60 and all carryout meals. Breakfast is served Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Menus are subject to change.

Mr. and Mrs. Bob Summers recently celebrated their 60th anniversary at the home of their son Jim Ed and his wife, Callie, in Goshen. They were married June 9, 1962, at Freeman Heights Baptist Church in Berryville. They have two sons, Jim Ed (Callie) and Matt (Beth), five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. As triple-digit temperatures and weeks without rain suck the life out of pastures and hay meadows, Arkansas’ cattle producers are having to sell part or all of their herds. Kevin Lawson, who directs extension activities in the 25-county Ozark District, an area heavy in cattle, doesn’t mince words about what he has seen.

State Sen. Bob Ballinger’s campaign paid a past-due debt for advertising in the Agriculture Appreciation Days program on May 20, according to a financial report — more than a week after his campaign said the debt had been paid.
