A Green Forest man was among three people killed in a three-vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 412 in Madison County on Saturday, July 22, while two Fayetteville men died in separate accidents the same day in Carroll County.

Water rates in Eureka Springs are one vote away from a 25 percent increase. A new area code is coming to Carroll County and the rest of the region that currently uses the 870 area code, according to the Arkansas Public Service Commission. While that will require a bit of a change in making calls, existing 870 area code customers will keep that area code.
