Winds of Discontent?

Scout Clean Energy hosted the first of two planned open-house events on Tuesday, April 11, at the Berryville Community Center to address residents’ concerns over the company’s planned wind-turbine development near Green Forest. Scout, based in Boulder, Colo., plans for its “Nimbus” project to expand over approximately 9,000 acres — about 14 square miles — in Carroll County, much of it along County Road 905 southeast of Green Forest.

Berryville Library presents ‘Murder With a Local Twist’

Who doesn’t love curling up with a good mystery book full of plot twists that keeps you on the edge of your seat … or saddle? As part of a new series featuring local authors, the Friends of the Berryville Library will be hosting “Murder with a Local Twist,” celebrating local authors Jane Elzey (The Cardboard Cottage Mystery series) and Amber Camp (the Horse Rescue Mystery series). The free event will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, April 24, at the Carroll Electric Community Room in Berryville.
