After a deadly tornado struck the northeast Arkansas town of Wynne on March 31, a team of Tyson Foods employees went to work to help residents there recover. As part of Tyson’s Meals That Matter program, the company dispatched several teams of employees to prepare and distribute food in Wynne.

Berryville Schools Superintendent Owen Powell said if Mother Nature was going to pick a district building to damage in last week’s storms, she picked the right one. “If we could’ve picked a building for it to hit that would’ve been the one,” Powell said of an older building used for storage which had its roof ripped off during a severe storm on Wednesday, April 5.

Meleia Lewis, Berryville High School theater teacher, selected playwright Robert Harling’s play “Steel Magnolias” as this year’s spring production for the Drama Department.

Carroll County Stone, located two miles east of Berryville on U.S. Highway 62, rocked the second annual fundraising event for the library, raising $4,000 for the Berryville Library Building Project.

The Friends of the Berryville Library recently earned the Gold Seal of Transparency from GuideStar, the world’s largest database of nonprofit organizations. Less than 5 percent of nonprofits registered with GuideStar are recognized with a Gold Seal.
