The Friends of the Berryville Library will be celebrating the International Day of Peace & Love in a big way on Saturday, July 8, at the Berryville City Pool Park.

The Eureka Springs City Council put another hurdle in the path of a proposed gun and pawn shop, backing a recent decision by the planning decision to deny a Conditional Use Permit for the business.

The Carroll and Madison Public Library Foundation has granted $1,000 to each public library in Berryville, Eureka Springs, Green Forest, Huntsville, Kingston and St. Paul.

The Carroll County Senior Activity and Wellness Center is located at 202 W. Madison Ave. in Berryville. The center is open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday. Lunch is served at noon each weekday. The suggested donation for ages 60 and up is $4. There is a $6 charge for those under 60 and all carryout meals. Menus are subject to change.

Several local students have been named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2023 semester at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway.

The Harrison Roundup Club Wagon Train Ride is scheduled to travel through Carroll County from Friday, June 16, through Sunday, June 18.
