Senior Center Menus: April 4-11, 2023

The Carroll County Senior Activity and Wellness Center is located at 202 W. Madison Ave. in Berryville. The center is open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday. Lunch is served at noon each weekday. The suggested donation for ages 60 and up is $4. There is a $6 charge for those under 60 and all carryout meals. Menus are subject to change.

Whirlybird in Berryville

A vintage military helicopter could be spotted in the sky above the Tyson Foods plant in Berryville on Saturday, March 25. The helicopter, which appeared to be a Vietnam-era Sikorsky UH-34D — the kind used by the United States Marine Corps for a variety of missions in Vietnam. On Saturday, the helicopter was used to install exhaust fans on the roof of the Tyson plant.

Spring Break Fun

The weather for Spring Break in Carroll County was damp last week, but the enthusiasm of youngsters getting a week away from school was not. Whether they were attending Spring Break Camp at the Berryville Library, enjoying the indoor pool at the Berryville Community Center or engaging in some other fun activity, local youngsters made sure to have a good time during their time off.
