March 5, 2023 – today was the day. _e day we prayed for, yet the day we knew would sadden us to the core. At least it was a day full of sunshine – her favorite! Born in Toledo, Ohio on December 8, 1929, she was the daughter of a Swiss immigrant. She spent her youth in Brandywine, Maryland with older brother, Alfred, and younger sister Aileen. She met her forever love on a blind date there. He was in the Air Force; they raised six children and traveled to places many only dream of.

Allan Paul McConkey of Beaver, Arkansas was born August 12, 1966, in Washington, DC to Woodland A. and Ruth A. (McCann) Mc-Conkey. Allen was called home Sunday, January 19, 2023, in Branson, Missouri at the age of 56.

Betty Jo Scarrow Ambrose of Berryville, Arkansas was born August 15, 1929 in Berryville, Arkansas to Lionel Earl Scarrow and Jo Franklin Scarrow. Betty passed away Saturday, March 4, 2023, in Berryville at the age of 93.

Shirley Nan Porter, “Babe”, age 91, passed away on March 2, 2023. She was born on December 3, 1931 in Berryville, Arkansas.

Norma June “Nana” Butler, age 83, of Eureka Springs, Arkansas was born October 13, 1939, in Eureka Springs to James Kenneth and Capp Irene (Edmonson) Pyatt. Norma passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at her home.

Patricia Ann McNeill of Eureka Springs, Arkansas was born March 19, 1954, in Chicago, Illinois to Joe and Mary (Parker) Mendez. Patricia passed away Friday, March 3, 2023 at her home in Eureka Springs at the age of 68.

Raymond Herman Backs of Berryville, Arkansas was born March 24, 1928, to Andrew and Zetta (Brisbois) Backs in Escanaba, Michigan. Raymond passed away February 24, 2023, in Berryville at the age of 94.

James Kenneth ‘Curly’ Bennett, age 90, went home to be with Jesus early Monday morning, February 27, 2023. He was born in Hogscald Hollow near Eureka Springs, Arkansas on April 13, 1932, to the late Johnny William and Mandy Geneva (Prickett) Bennett.

Harold Dean Martin, age 82, of Berryville passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023. He was born October 9, 1940, in Wyman, Iowa to Homer Francis and Norma Arlene Derby Martin.

Ina Faye (Nance) Butler was born June 22, 1928, in Green Forest, Arkansas. She was the 5th child of Boss and Laura Nance.
