Floyd Wayne Hicks, 84, of Rutherfordton passed away on December 29, 2022 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills. Floyd was the son of the late _omas Jackson Hicks and Lillie B.

Born February 6, 1947, Carl James “Jim” McCoy was born in Joplin, MO to Carl Junior McCoy and Mary (Carter) McCoy, who both preceded him in death. Jim grew up in Baxter Springs, KS where he met his future wife, Kathy Jane Matthews who celebrated 53 years together with him. Jim graduated from Pittsburg State University with a master’s degree in political science and served in Army ROTC. He volunteered in 1969 to serve in the US Army and achieved the rank of 1st Lieutenant. In 1970, he was given orders to serve in Vietnam with the 8th Cavalry Airmobile where he was awarded the Air Medal, Combat Infantry Badge and Bronze Star for his service. He always has remembered his Vietnam Veteran brothers, especially honoring those that made the ultimate sacri_ce for their country.

Sammie G. Molder of Green Forest, Arkansas was born in Coin, Arkansas to Samuel Dewey and _elma (Collier) Molder on November 5, 1927. Sammie passed away Friday, December 23, 2022, in Berryville at the age of 95.

James “Jimmy” Robert Bickel of Springdale, Arkansas was born in Laredo, Texas on August 12, 1950 to Robert and Emma (Wilson) Bickel. Jimmy passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2022, in Springdale at the age of 72.
