Berryville will host Yellville-Summit in a scrimmage game Thursday at Bobcat Stadium.

Berryville head football coach Macklin Chermak says the Bobcats are a little behind schedule in preseason practice, simply because they got a late start. Chermak was hired in May as the Bobcats’ new coach after the unexpected resignation of former coach Bryan Hutson, who retired from coaching to accept a teaching position in the Hot Springs Lakeside School District.

Rebuilding the Berryville High School football program doesn’t start with planting a seed, first-year head coach Macklin Chermak said Monday.

There’s good news and bad news for Green Forest fans heading into the 2023 football season as the Tigers look to improve on last season’s 1-9 record.

Both the Berryville and Green Forest junior high boys basketball teams competed in the Huntsville Camp of Champs earlier this month and brought home several team and individual awards.
