A good coach always looks for the positives in a loss. Green Forest girls soccer coach Ashley Wilson found a lot of them after the Lady Tigers’ 2-0 loss to Life Way Christian on Thursday, April 27.

The hits just keep on coming for Green Forest’s Lydia Russell. Competing on her home track, the Lady Tigers sophomore won four events at the 3A-1 district track and field championships on Wednesday, April 26, setting a pair of school records in the process.

The Berryville Bobcats missed the 2022 state soccer tournament after being upset in the second round of the district tournament. That disappointment made the Bobcats even more determined to get to the state tournament this spring and that determination paid off as Berryville defeated defending Class 4A state champion Farmington 3-2 in the regular- season finale on Monday, April 24, at Bobcat Stadium.

Green Forest sophomore Lydia Russell turned in another outstanding performance at Mountain Home’s Bomber Relays on Wednesday, April 19, winning two events and setting a school record in a third.

The Green Forest Tigers had no trouble getting past the Bergman Panthers on Thursday, April 20, rolling to an 11-0 victory at Tiger Stadium.

The Berryville Bobcats suffered their first 4A-West loss of the season on Tuesday, April 18, falling 2-0 at Clarksville. But the Bobcats bounced back just fine, winning 9-1 at Huntsville on Friday, April 21.
