Pirates rally by Bobcats

The Berryville Bobcats suffered another hard-luck loss on Friday, April 21, as the Greenland Pirates pushed across a run in the top of the seventh inning and held on to beat the Bobcats 7-6 at the Berryville Sports Complex.

No-hitter lifts GF to victory

The Green Forest Tigers only had three hits in Friday’s road game against Yellville-Summit, but that was plenty. Pitchers Kasen Robinson and Mason Meador threw a combined no-hitter with 14 strikeouts and the Tigers took advantage of 10 walks and a pair of Panthers errors to cruise to a 6-0 victory.

Evans’ 2 HRs enough for GF

It’s hard to have a much better day at the plate than Green Forest senior Leah Evans enjoyed against Yellville-Summit on Friday, April 14. Evans went 4-for-4, including a pair of home runs, drove in seven runs and scored four times as the Lady Tigers rolled to a 16-9 road victory.

Tigers pick up 2 wins

The Green Forest Tigers remained unbeaten in 3A West conference play and tied for first place with a pair of victories last week. The Tigers defeated Decatur 4-1 on Tuesday, April 11, at Tiger Stadium.

Bobcats put up a fight

The Berryville Bobcats lost three baseball games last week, but not without a fight. The Bobcats lost at Gravette by a score of 6-5 on Tuesday, April 11, then were beaten 17-5 on Elkins on Thursday, April 13.
