The Green Forest softball team lost a doubleheader to Flippin on Monday, March 6, by scores of 20-6 and 13-3. Bella Phillips and Brinley Bishop each had two hits for Green Forest in the first game, while Alyvia Newboles drove in two runs for the Lady Tigers.

Three Berryville High School seniors received some postseason accolades on Monday, capping off their high school basketball careers. Berryville coach Brent Compton said senior Jake Wilson earned all-state honors and also was named to the 4A-1 all-conference team along with classmates Nate Allen and D.J.

Based simply on the final score, the Berryville Bobcats’ 7-2 loss to Bentonville on Tuesday, March 7, might seem like a blowout. But Berryville coach Grant Hutson said the Bobcats didn’t play poorly after they shook off a slow start against a Class 6A opponent.

First-year Green Forest boys soccer coach Adam Richter says he has “high hopes” for the Tigers this spring, with good reason. Green Forest is just two years removed from winning the Class 3A state championship.

Green Forest girls soccer coach Ashley Wilson said goodbye to eight seniors after the Lady Tigers lost in the semifinals of the Class 3A state tournament last May. This spring, Wilson said hello to seven freshmen.

If the Berryville Lady Bobcats are going to have a successful 2022 soccer season, coach Aaron Hall says, they must win close games.

The 2023 softball season couldn’t have started much better for the Green Forest Lady Tigers.

The Berryville Lady Bobcats expect to start four freshman when they open the 2023 softball season at home Tuesday against Ozark. “We’re extremely young again,” Berryville coach Arel Ferguson said.

The Eureka Springs High School soccer teams have plenty of familiar faces back on the field to give first-year coach Arron Oliver much optimism heading into the season.
