The Berryville Bobcats didn’t come out ready to play against the Shirley Blue Devils in the semifinals of First Service Bank Classic on Tuesday, Nov. 15, at Clinton, and for that they learned a painful lesson.
The Green Forest Tigers had to put in a little overtime last Friday night, but they got the job done. The visiting Tigers outscored Cotter 12-5 in overtime and beat the Warriors 78-71.
The Berryville Bobcats are off to a 2-0 start this season after victories over Eureka Springs and Greers Ferry West Side in a span of less than 24 hours. The Bobcats beat Eureka Springs 5944 on Friday, Nov.
The results have been mixed so far this season for the Eureka Springs Lady Highlanders, but coach Kyle Farrar said he’s optimistic about his team’s potential. “It’s set up pretty good for us to have a pretty good year,” Farrar said.
The 2021-22 Eureka Springs Highlanders had perhaps the best boys basketball season in the history of the school. The Highlanders went undefeated in regular- season conference play and then swept the district and regional tournaments before reaching the second round of the Class 2A state tournament.
The Green Forest Tigers had their most successful season in more than a decade in 2021-22. This season, the Tigers are looking to build on that success.
