How can you summarize 90 years in a few paragraphs? Thelma Pauline Griffith (Pat) was born in Marietta, Georgia on August 12, 1935. She has been around the world and lived life to the fullest. She has an amazing family and several friends.
She was married to her husband Irel (Griff) on March 6, 1959. They have five children, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She has shown her family what true love and support is. She is a role model for others to emulate. Family has been the center of her life and she has definitely set the bar high!
She left Marietta, Ga., in 1960 and was an Air Force wife for 20 years. During this time she lived in several places and dutifully ironed uniforms, cooked meals for so many airmen and was an amazing support for her military husband. Anyone involved in the military knows it’s not easy moving around, establishing new friendships and maintaining a solid household, yet she did it with grace.
After her husband retired, they moved to Arkansas in 1978 and have lived here since. She had a successful career at Tyson Foods for 19 years. She has made some amazing friendships along the way.
She has enjoyed being on several bowling leagues. She has won several medals in the Senior Olympics for bowling. She has also won several ribbons at the County Fair for her beautiful plants.
So, how can you sum up her life so quickly? You can do so by saying she’s had so much love for so many people. She is kind, generous, and has always taken great pride in being a good daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend. Happy 90th birthday to a beautiful person!
