As part of its plan to establish an emergency shelter open to the public, the First United Methodist Church of Eureka Springs is raising money to install a generator to provide electricity and heat to the church when power is lost for an extended period.
The cost of installing a generator is $30,000 and the public is encouraged to help the cause with donations of any size. Any gift will be tax-deductible.
Checks can be mailed to FUMCES, c/o generator, 195 Huntsville Road, Eureka Springs, 72632. Cash or checks can also be dropped off to the church office at that address.
