Greenland scored 16 runs in the first two innings and went on to an 18-3 victory over visiting Berryville in high school softball action on Thursday, March 13.
Berryville took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first when Hannah Campbell singled, stole second and third and scored on a single by Ivie Bickel.
Greenland responded, however, with nine runs in the bottom of the first and seven more in the second to take a 16-1 lead. Berryville got a pair of runs in the top of the third. Campbell and Codi Joubert opened the inning with backto- back singles, then advanced on a groundout. Campbell scored and Joubert moved to second on a grounder by Bailey Skelton, then Joubert stole home for the Lady Bobcats’ third run of the day.
Campbell had two of Berryville’s eight hits.
Berryville will host Flippin on Tuesday, March 18.
