The Regional AWANA Grand Prix (Pinewood Derby Race) was hosted by Freeman Heights Baptist Church on Thursday, April 24, for local churches that participate in the AWANA programs. This year’s event included racers from Freeman Heights Baptist Church, Grandview Baptist Church and New Hope Fellowship. AWANA is an acronym for “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed,” in reference to 2nd Timothy 2:15. It was a great event with lots of smiles and excitement.
Participating clubbers raced their cars multiple times to determine the overall fastest cars in their Division. In addition to racing, a design competition was held with many great looking cars. All participants were winners and everyone had a great time at the event. Those taking home trophies are listed below: T&T (Grades 3-6) SPEED
