Green Forest coach Dalton Ewing didn’t mince his words when discussing the Tigers’ 55-7 loss on Friday, Oct. 3, at Gravette.
“It was ugly,” Ewing said of the loss.
Still, there were some bright spots for the Tigers.
“Our kids played hard,” Ewing said. “They did what we asked them to do. We’ve just got to keep getting better. … Our offensive line played really well. Our middle linebackers, Grady Gordon and Luis Bathen, they probably had one of their better games on doing what we asked them to do and just getting better there. So we’re building and getting better. We’ve just got to keep working on it each week.”
Green Forest (2-3, 0-2 4A-1) will host Gentry (4-1, 1-1) on Friday, Oct. 10, at Tiger Stadium. The Pioneers defeated Lincoln 42-13 last week.
