Berryville High School senior Malachi Houghton took second place in the boys 3,200-meter run and sophomore Kai Killingsworth finished second in the girls 800 at the Bobcat Invitational on Thursday, March 13.
Houghton finished in a time of 10 minutes, 50.40 seconds. He also finished fifth in the 1,600-meter run (5:03.46).
Killingsworth ran the 800 in 2:45.10. She was fifth at 3,200 meters (14:38.26) and finished eighth in the 1,600 (6:15.20). Berryville sophomore Keily Diaz was fourth in the girls 100-meter hurdles and ninth in the 300-meter hurdles. Junior Kaylyn Smith finished fifth in the girls 200-meter dash and sixth in the 400.
Berryville senior Oliver Bemis finished fifth in the 300-meter hurdles (46.56) and the Bobcats were third in the 4X800 relay (9:14.80), fourth in the 4X100 (48.31) and fifth in the 4X400 (3:58.73).
