Posted

The Berryville Lady Bobcats faced a bit of a challenge last week, playing three conference games in four days.

As it turns out, that wasn’t a problem for the Lady Bobcats.

Berryville won all three games with relative ease, starting with a 46-37 victory over Huntsville on Tuesday, Jan. 14, at Bobcat Arena.

Junior Kaylyn Smith led the Lady Bobcats will 11 points while classmate Paige Thurman added 10.

On Wednesday, Jan. 15, Berryville beat Green Forest 59-42 in a game that was originally scheduled for Jan. 10 but was postponed because of winter weather.

Thurman had 20 points and Smith scored 15 for the Lady Bobcats, who led 22-5 at the end of the first quarter. Senior Lydia Russell led Green Forest with nine points.

On Friday, Jan. 17, the Lady Bobcats were on the road again, defeating Gentry 63-49.

Junior Hailey Howerton had 11 of her 18 points in the second half as the Lady Bobcats pulled away after the score was tied 26-26 at halftime. Thurman added 14 points and Smith had 13.

Berryville will travel to Pea Ridge on Tuesday, Jan. 21, before hosting Prairie Grove on Friday, Jan. 24.
