The Berryville Lady Bobcats split their first two 4A-1 conference games of the season last week, defeating Prairie Grove 55-31 on Tuesday, Dec. 16, at Bobcat Arena before losing to Shiloh Christian 47-36 on Friday, Dec. 19, in Springdale.
Berryville led Prairie Grove 36-30 at the end of the third quarter, but outscored the Lady Tigers 19-1 over the final eight minutes to turn a close game into a rout.
Senior Chaney Fairweather led the Lady Bobcats with 16 points, including eight in the fourth quarter. Classmates Paige Thurman and Hailey Howerton added 15 points apiece.
Against Shiloh Christian, the Lady Bobcats fell behind by 15 at the end of the first half. Senior guard Tessa Johnson led Berryville with 17 points.
The Lady Bobcats will return to action Monday, Dec. 29, taking on Mountain Pine at 6 p.m. in the first round of the CS Bank Holiday Hoops tournament at Bobcat Arena.
