National 4-H Week

Posted

National 4-H Week is an annual celebration dedicated to promoting the 4-H youth development program, which focuses on empowering young individuals through hands-on learning experiences in various areas such as agriculture, science and leadership. This week serves to highlight the achievements of 4-H members and encourage community involvement in supporting youth programs.

We would like to recognize some of our members’ accomplishments this past year. Carroll County 4-H placed second at State in Beef Quiz Bowl and fifth in the state at Livestock Judging. Our Grasslands Team placed second at State and third at Nationals. Meats Judging Team placed third at State. Carroll County 4-H also placed fifth in Livestock Quiz Bowl and second in Livestock Skills.

The 4-H Teen Stars are Kaitlyn Armer, Katelyn Rexwinkle and Dalton Warner. The Carroll County State Ambassadors are Andrew Rexwinkle and Olivia Kossman.

Carroll County also had two 4-H members apply and were selected for the first annual CALL TOUR. They were Andrew Rexwinkle and Katelyn Rexwinkle.

Carroll County 4-H had three State Record Book winners — Duncan Patterson, Kaitlyn Armer and Olivia Kossman.

We are so proud of the accomplishments of all our 4-H members this year.
