Summer Bash Thursday at Community Center

Posted

The City of Berryville will host its second annual Summer Bash from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 28, at the Berryville Community Center, located at 601 Dr. Spurlin Circle in Berryville. The event will take place during the Carroll County Farmers Market and is free and open to the public.

“This event was created to help connect families with resources throughout our county while giving students and families a fun way to start summer break,” said Julia Borkowski, community engagement director for the City of Berryville. “Last year was our first year hosting Summer Bash, and we had hundreds of attendees with only 15 vendors. This year, we already have more than 50 vendors signed up, and it’s exciting to see how much the community has embraced it.”

Vendors and organizations from across Carroll County will be on hand to provide information on summer camps, volunteer opportunities, job resources, schools, food assistance programs, health and wellness services and other community resources for all ages.

Families attending the event can enjoy free chicken strips provided by Tyson Foods Berryville, free snow cones from the Berryville Community Center, and free walking tacos provided by Freeman Heights Baptist Church, all while supplies last. The event will also include bounce houses provided by Local Hype, outdoor games and opportunities for children to explore fire trucks from the Berryville Fire Department.

UAMS will have its mobile clinic on-site to provide tours and information about available services while also supporting its female pantry. The Carroll County Farmers Market will also be set up during the event, adding local vendors and fresh products to the evening.

In addition, the Berryville Community Center will offer a free day at the facility, allowing families to explore the gym, pool and programs without needing a membership or day pass, all day long.

Organizations and businesses interested in hosting a booth are still encouraged to participate. Booth setup is completely free.
