Tigers face tough stretch against strong competition

The Green Forest Tigers faced a difficult stretch against strong competition last week, dropping four games against Shiloh Christian, Flippin and Clever.

Green Forest opened with a 17-1 loss to Shiloh Christian on Tuesday, March 17, but managed to break through offensively with three hits in the game.

Cole Meador led the Tigers at the plate, finishing with a hit and scoring the team’s lone run. Jace Meador and Collin Atchison also recorded hits.

In a rematch with Shiloh Christian on Thursday, March 19, Green Forest was held to one hit in a 13-0 loss. Isaac Kennedy recorded the Tigers’ lone hit.

The Tigers showed more offensive production in a 10-2 loss to Flippin on Friday, March 20.

Radon Lawrence led the way with two hits and scored a run, while Cole Meador added a hit and an RBI. Kasen Robinson also contributed a hit as Green Forest finished with seven hits as a team.

Green Forest closed the stretch with a 10-0 loss to Clever, Mo., on Saturday, March 21, at Arvest Ballpark in Springdale.

Green Forest opened the stretch with a 20-5 loss to Shiloh Christian, as the Lady Saints used a big offensive night to pull away early.

Taysha Luedke led Green Forest at the plate, finishing with a hit and scoring twice, while Codi Joubert added a hit and drove in a run. Emerson DeMeyer and Natalie Asbury also recorded hits as Green Forest totaled five runs on 11 hits.

Green Forest was more competitive in a rematch with Shiloh Christian, but fell 8-2.

Emerson DeMeyer had a strong performance, collecting two hits and driving in a run, while Codi Joubert added a hit and an RBI. Tynslie Castillo and Allie Tipton also contributed hits as the Lady Tigers finished with nine hits in the game.

Green Forest showed some offensive life in its matchup with Yellville-Summit, but came up short in a 9-4 loss.

Codi Joubert provided the highlight of the game, blasting a home run and finishing with an RBI as part of a twohit effort.

Bella Phillips added two hits and scored twice, while Emerson DeMeyer contributed a hit and drove in a run. Tynslie Castillo also recorded a hit as Green Forest totaled five hits in the game.
