Two people were transported to local hospitals after an aviation accident that occurred as a small airplane was attempting to take off from Trigger Gap Airfield in rural Berryville at 6:16 p.m. Monday, May 25, the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release the next day. One patient was transported by ground ambulance and one by a Survival Flight helicopter. No update on their condition was available, according to the release. The Federal Aviation Administration began an investigation into the incident, the release said. The FAA’s registry indicates the aircraft is a Cessna, manufactured in 1967 and registered to James M. Kelley of Greenwood.
