Beatrice Iveta (Walker) Thomason, a resident of Berryville, Arkansas, was born January 19, 1933, in Oak Grove, Arkansas, a daughter of John and Virgie (Gambles) Walker. She passed away in Berryville on October 8, 2024, at the age of 91.

Mrs. Thomason was a homemaker and a great cook. She helped with the numerous duties on the family’s farm near Blue Eye for many years before moving into town about 30 years ago. As favorite hobbies, Bea loved to quilt and crochet, and she made scores of afghans as gifts for her family and friends. Another hobby was sewing costumes for her large porcelain doll collection. Bea was a charter member of Southern Heights Baptist Church, where she served many years with hospitality and kitchen duty for Vacation Bible School, luncheons, and other church social functions.

On January 15, 1956, Bea was united in marriage with Herbert Lee Thomason, who preceded her in death. She is also preceded by her parents; two brothers, Esley Walker and Vernon Walker; two sisters, Sula Taylor and Bernice Blevins; and granddaughter, Michelle Lindt. She is survived by her daughter, Coetta Lindt and husband Michael of Garland, Texas; grandson, Chadwick Lindt and wife Suzanne of Sunset, Texas; four great-grandchildren: Annika Lindt, Andrew Lindt, Ezra Thurman and Beckett Thurman; and several nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be from 9:00-10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Southern Heights Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, 279 Arkansas State Hwy 221 S, in Berryville. A graveside service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Blue Eye Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Southern Heights Baptist Church.
