Brenda Stout Cornish, age 73, crossover to eternal life in the Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday, September 28, 2024. She was born to Dimple Marie George in Hot Springs, Arkansas, on December 7, 1950. She and her husband moved to Carroll County in December 2008 from Hot Springs, Arkansas.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Cornish of Eureka Springs; her daughter, Shela Caswell and son-in-law JJ Long of Mountain Pine, Arkansas; her sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Terry Keener of Hot Springs, Arkansas; her granddaughter, Ausha Merz and grandson-in-law Chandler Merz of Canute, Oklahoma; and her grandson, Tyler Caswell of Arkadelphia, Arkansas; six great-grandchildren; Brenda was also survived by a step-son and his wife, Jacob and Mary Cornish of Little Rock, Arkansas; also a stepdaughter, Kristy Bevelin and her partner Michael Brown of Starkville, Mississippi. A sister-in-law, Carmen Stanley and a brother-in-law, Charlie Stanley also of Hot Springs. Brenda was preceded in death by her mother and her brother, Darrell Knighten.

Brenda was a deeply spiritual woman who had many spiritual gifts and abilities. Brenda would write her prayers down and get an answer many, many times. She could and did tell people in her life spiritual events that would happen in their lives and did. Brenda loved the Lord very much. Brenda was a 1970 graduate of Fountain Lake High School. She worked for Timex Corp. She was a traveling saleswoman, she also worked at Walmart on airport road in the mid 80s and JCPenney in the late 90s. Brenda’s last job was with her husband and daughter at Interpack Inc. in Berryville, Arkansas in 2016. Brenda had many interests, she loved to do beadwork and sew.

She collected many things in life. She loved her jewelry and clothes, but her best collection was her angels.

Brenda married her husband, Richard at Blue Springs, Eureka Springs on September 30, 2006. She and her husband loved to travel by car and motorcycle. She also loved to dress up as Miss Santa Claus for Christmas. She liked to stargaze with her husband. Brenda was ¼ Cherokee Indian.

She left behind two loving friends, Carol Brooke and Debbie West, who love her very much. The family deeply appreciates Chaise Myers owner of Interpack Inc. for all his support and prayers. Her family is very grateful to all Interpack employees who kept her in their prayers and thoughts. The family holds dear the Hispanic ladies who laid their hands on her and prayed for her. Loving thanks to Herbe for his friendship and prayers for Brenda. Her husband holds his deepest thanks to their neighbors, Derek and Melissa for all the many times they help with Brenda. Their help will not be forgotten. Thank you to Pastor Jose Reyes for officiating.

Celebration of Life service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 11, 2024, at Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel. Memorials for Brenda Stout Cornish can made to American Diabetes Association.
