Greg Patty

      Patty

Greg Patty was born, raised and lived in Berryville, Arkansas most of his life. He was born on April 18, 1958, to Edward and Lavonna Patty and passed away on October 20, 2024 at the age of 66.

What follows is mostly in Greg’s words and what he wanted to share. He was a true, full-blooded Aries. Greg’s favorite companions over the years were Music, which gave him Peace and Joy, Tat the Putty Tat, Trisket who was a runaway, Fido, Suzie Q who was adopted, Terrapina the terrapin, his partner and girlfriend Sheri Cunningham, as well as a host of critters that made his home their home. Incredibly curious by nature he was interested in and self-taught himself in a variety of subjects; water, minerals, and geology, just to name a few.

Greg kept himself busy over the years starting young on the family place. You’d find him outdoors helping out with most anyone that would let him. Working with his dad, Edward, in the water pump business, he knew Carroll County like the back of his hand. Rarely idle he grew and bailed hay, raised chickens and a fine breed of cattle, rough necked awhile in Oklahoma and Louisiana and also raised bees and gave away honey. He spent a number of years as a heavy equipment operator and truck driver, helped erect a few towers here and in Eureka Springs, mowed yards and was always available to help neighbors and friends along the way. Greg’s been to every corner of Carroll County so there’s a piece of him everywhere around here.

Greg was a man of integrity and honesty. He had deep feelings, was big hearted and generous. He would do anything for anybody. Greg will be greatly missed and loved.

Greg was a supporter of the opportunities provided to students exploring careers in skilled trades. In lieu of flowers, honor him by donating to the following organizations: mikeroweworks. org, NWTI Education Foundation, 709 South Old Missouri Road, Springdale, AR 72764, or Connect 4, Berryville School Finance Department, 902 W Trimble, Berryville, AR 72616.
