Jessie “Elaine” Alphin Rudder, age 80 of Holiday Island, Arkansas passed peacefully into the arms of her loving Savior on Friday, September 12, 2025. She was born March 7, 1945 in Camden, Arkansas to the late Jesse Samuel “Sam” Alphin and Rettie Fay Green Alphin.
She graduated from Norphlet High School and went on to obtain her Bachelor of Science in Education from Ouachita Baptist University and later received her Masters of Science in Education from Southern Arkansas University.
She enjoyed working in her yard, genealogy research, crocheting and weaving. She was of the Southern Baptist faith and above all, will be remembered for the love she had for her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Those left to cherish her memory include her sister, DeLois Jean Alphin; cousin, Evelyn Sue Alphin Dorman; her Godchildren, Lance Brumley (Beth), Brad Brumley (Kendra) and Alaina Amis (Torrey); grandchildren, Reid Malone, Makenzie Connelley (Cole), Lauren Cline (Clayton), Grant Brumley (Jordan), Ali Minchew (Nate), Baylor Brumley (Vanessa), Chase Brumley (MacKenzie) and Kenley Brumley (Austin) and a great-granddaughter, Carter Cline.
A private graveside memorial service was held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in El Dorado, Arkansas.
