Mary Jane Crews Eureka Springs, Arkansas, the daughter of Jack and Maggie; (Aday) Fanning, was born May 15, 1941, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Mary passed away Saturday, November 16, 2024, at the age of 83.

Mary was a lifelong resident of Eureka Springs, referring to herself as a “Local Yokel”. She was a member of the Eureka Springs graduating class of 1959.

She married Gary Lee Crews in 1960. They had a daughter in 1960 and a son in 1963. Both she and Gary were founders and lifetime members of Lone Star Bible Church.

Mary was a homemaker, rancher, and substitute teacher. She was last employed by the Inn of the Ozarks where she worked as an Arcade Attendant, earning the name 'Pool Hall Mary”.

Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. She never minced her words, and one always knew where you stood with her. She missed her husband of 63 years dearly over the last 6 months and is finally at peace by his side.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Betsy Crews-Seibert and her husband Bob of :e s Summit, Missouher son, Gary R. ,Crews and Jamie Heinemann of Fayetteville, Arkansas; grandchildren, Alyssa (Crews) Black and her husband Thomas of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Maggie Seibert of Kansas City, Missouri, Clint Crews and his wife Chelsea of Bentonville, Arkansas, and Garrick Crews of Farmington, Arkansas; six great-grandchildren, Presley, Jaxon, Bennett, Emmelyn, Everett, and Parker; brother, Tommy Fanning and his wife Gala of Springdale, Arkansas; sister, Betty Fanning of Berryville, Arkansas; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Gary Lee Crews; parents, Jack and Maggie Fanning; and two brothers, Lonnie Fanning and Homer Lloyd Fanning.
